Week 11!!!! Ahh!!! I am so proud to have made it this far 🙂 I have officially worked out longer and more consistency than I ever have in my life. Thank you Tracy Anderson! This week was tough with the switch to DSL on Monday. The hour of sleep I lost was BRUTAL! So much so that I even forgot my phone at the office on Tuesday. You don’t realize how much you use your phone until you don’t have it… I use mine to set the house alarms, turn off our lights and as my alarm clock!
On the bright side, spring is coming… although the sub-freezing temperatures and snow would never let you know it. This week I tried out several new DC options. I absolutely love DC 7/20 with Maria Kelling (@mariakelling). I found the beginning easy enough to follow but the second half was tough so lots of opportunity to work on it and improve. I am still LOVING my Nike Zoom All Outs for DC. I have had no knee pain since getting them so needless to say, highly recommend them. I was super excited to see the BMC actually posted on Wednesday this week!!! Usually I don’t get to try the new week’s content until Friday since Thursday is my “for real” rest day. The flow this week is just phenomenal. It is SO challenging but still accessible for a TAM newbie like me (btw – how long do I get to hang on to that TAM newbie label?). I also tried out the new 3/15 DC when I saw it was with Maria Kelling. This one was similar to 7/20 in that I found the beginning fairly easy to follow but the middle and end more challenging. Plus it starts off with one of my favorite songs of all time – Somebody I used to Know. I am planning to add this one into my “permanent” rotation. I tried out a new TAVA on Saturday because my stomach was seriously upset from a very bad lunch decision at the mall…. I have to be honest I didn’t love it and probably won’t go back to it again.

If you read my results post for week 10 you know that I actually had increases in my numbers across the board last week. Of course I am super happy that this week’s result were better but I want to make sure that I highlight how tricky these week to week numbers can really be. So this week, for my fellow data nerds, I have a graph to share with you:
This is my weight graph from week 1 – week 11. You’ll notice if you look at the dates that I often weigh myself daily (sometimes several times a day but that is for a future post) what I want you to notice is how my weight goes up and then back down. If I wasn’t weighing myself as much, I might only catch my weight when it is up and that would be so demotivating. I know that a lot of people struggle with the scale but I have found that it is a helpful tool as long as you understand that your weight fluctuates up and down within each day and definitely from day-to-day. You need to focus not on the number on the scale today but rather on what the overall trend is… are you trending down? Then you are on the right track and shouldn’t lose heart if you see a day or two of higher numbers.
If you are interested in trying out streaming and missed the link, you can find it in my week 8 post. The offer was supposed to have expired back on 5/30/16 but it was still working as of 3/1/17. Please be aware that the code will not work if you have taken advantage of a free trial offer in the past though. At this point I am at week 4 and it is still working….
That’s all for this week. As always, if you have any questions or comments, please feel free to ask or share them in the comments below.
